It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Round 4 of the Investec Champions Cup 2025/26, the greatest club rugby competition in the world.

As we move deeper into the pool stage, the competition enters a defining phase. Every match now carries added weight. Every point matters. The road ahead begins to take shape and the intensity rises as clubs push for position and momentum.

This 31st edition is already building on the remarkable standards set last season. Packed stadiums, global audiences and unforgettable performances once again underline why this competition remains the benchmark of international club rugby. From established forces to emerging contenders, the unpredictability and quality on display continue to set this tournament apart.

Rounds 3 and 4 are always pivotal. They sharpen ambitions, test depth and demand consistency at the highest level. For the players, this is where seasons are defined. For supporters, this is where belief grows. And for clubs, this is where the margins become decisive.

The journey towards the 2026 Final in Bilbao is well underway and these rounds represent a crucial step on that path. Team named for Investec Champions Cup Pool 2 decider

Bath Rugby’s Head of Rugby, Johann van Graan, announces his matchday squad ahead of Friday night’s fixture under the lights against Edinburgh Rugby.

The Blue, Black and White return home to The Rec sitting top of Pool 2, with qualification to the Round of 16 still up for grabs.

Thomas du Toit comes back into the starting line-up, packing down with Beno Obano and Tom Dunn.

Quinn Roux and Ross Molony remain in the second row, seeing Guy Pepper coming into the starting XV from last week’s bench, and a return for Sam Underhill on the openside.

Consecutive Player of the Match winner Alfie Barbeary completes the pack at Number 8.

Ben Spencer and Finn Russell remain as half-backs with Spencer captaining from scrum-half.

Ollie Lawrence also returns, pairing up in the centre with Max Ojomoh.

Henry Arundell moves across to the left wing, bringing Joe Cokanasiga into the starting line-up on the right.

Completing the XV, Tom de Glanville starts at full back.

Dan Frost, Francois van Wyk and Archie Griffin will provide their power from this week’s bench, alongside Ted Hill and Miles Reid.

Tom Carr-Smith, Santi Carreras and Cameron Redpath complete the replacement set-up.

PREM Rugby confirms Rounds 11 to 18

PREM Rugby has today (Wednesday 14 January) confirmed the remaining regular season fixtures for Rounds 11 to 18 of the Gallagher PREM 2025/26 season.

Bath Rugby can now confirm their Gallagher PREM fixtures from Round 11 through to the final round of the regular season, with dates, kick-off times and venues locked in as the campaign moves towards its decisive stages.

The Blue, Black and White kick off the confirmed schedule with a Friday night clash against Saracens in Round 11 at The Rec on 20 March, with a 19:45 kick-off under the lights.

Round 12 will see Bath Rugby travel to the CorpAcq Stadium to face Sale Sharks on Sunday 29 March (kick-off 15:00).

Harlequins then travel to The Rec on Saturday 18 April (17:30) in Round 13, followed by a trip for the Blue, Black and White to Northampton Saints on Saturday 25 April (kick-off 17:30) in Round 14.

Rounds 15 and 16 see Bath face Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park on Sunday 10 May (kick-off 15:00) before hosting Newcastle Red Bulls at The Rec on Saturday 16 May (kick-off 15:00).

Bath then travel to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol Bears in Round 17 under the Friday night lights (kick-off 19:45), before Leicester Tigers come to The Rec for the final round of the regular season on Saturday 6 June (kick-off 15:00).

Bath United returns for first run out of 2025/26

Bath Rugby’s United team will return to The Rec on Saturday 24 January 2026, taking on England U20 at 14:00.

Being played at Bath Rugby’s home, Season Ticket Holders will be able to claim a free ticket to the fixture, with general admission just £5! Plus all proceeds will go to the Bath Rugby Foundation.

In preparation for the U20 Six Nations, the age-grade international outfit will travel to The Rec, which will also play host to their fixture against Ireland U20.

Rest in peace Patrick Hill

Bath Rugby is saddened to announce the passing of former player Patrick Hill, who died on 18 December 2025 aged 90.

Patrick made his debut for Bath on 11th April 1955 and played his final game on 29th February 1964, making an outstanding 173 appearances for the club.

A lifelong supporter of Bath Rugby, Patrick remained an avid fan and did his best to watch every match whenever he could.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends.

Patrick’s funeral will take place at Haycombe Crematorium on 22 January 2026 at 1:00pm

LUDO Sports partner with The Rec’s Clubhouse

In an extension of the partnership between Bath Rugby and LUDO Sports & Live Lounge, the club can announce The Rec’s Clubhouse has been renamed as The LUDO Clubhouse.

This partnership offers a secondary location for match-goers to enjoy a blend of Bath Rugby and LUDO hospitality, additional to LUDO’s main location next to Bath Spa Station on Brunel Square.

The Clubhouse has undergone extensive refurbishment and rejuvenation, seeing the instalment of multiple big screens, various new seating areas and fresh redecoration.

LUDO has been an official club partner since 2023 and its city centre location offers a home away from home for rugby supporters to watch the Blue, Black and White when they’re playing away from The Rec.

Speaking of the new LUDO Clubhouse, Bath’s Commercial Director, James Bibby, said: "LUDO has felt like part of the Bath Rugby family for a while now, so it’s brilliant to bring their matchday energy and hospitality right into the heart of The Rec.

“Our supporters already know how special the atmosphere is that LUDO creates in the city on away games and having that pitchside on matchdays will only add to the experience. We’re really looking forward to welcoming fans, friends and families into The LUDO Clubhouse and seeing it become a place people love spending time before and after games."
