For the first time this season, Bath Rugby are sitting within the top four after an epic performance at Franklin's Gardens! Ahead of another huge fixture against Wasps on bank holiday Monday, the Blue, Black and White will be full of confidence having secured three wins in a row since the restart!
The first half was a closely fought contest with both sides failing to cross the try line. The defensive effort from Bath Rugby was immense, withstanding long periods of pressure from the home side. Beno Obano was the standout performer in the Bath pack, dominating the scrum and earning himself a Gallagher Man of the Match!
Tom de Glanville scored his second try in five days with a great finish after a brilliant team move, who was unfortunately injured in the process and did not return to the field. Shortly after conceding the first try, Saints piled the pressure on Bath but the home side were unable to put any points on the board because of an immense defensive performance!
After only just coming on to the pitch and, Ruaridh McConnochie scored under the posts after some great work from new signing Ben Spencer. It was only Bath's second win at Franklin's Gardens in 19 visits and lifts Bath above Wasps in the race for the play-offs and now four points clear of Saints.
