BATH EDGED OUT IN CLASSIC AGAINST LEICESTER TIGERS AT WELFORD ROAD

Bath Rugby suffered a disappointing start to 2021 at Welford Road, losing to old rivals Leicester Tigers. Both teams entered this fixture needing a win to kick-start their season and it was Bath Rugby who made the better start, but Leicester fought back to grab the crucial points.

BATH GOT OFF TO A FLYING START WITH TWO TRIES INSIDE 15 MINUTES

Within the first quarter of the game, both Beno Obano and Ben Spencer scored to set up a comfortable lead, however Stuart Hooper's men failed to capitalise on this early lead.

FORMER BATH RUGBY PLAYER GEORGE FORD SCORED 19 POINTS TO SECURE THE POINTS FOR TIGERS

After a strong start from the Blue, Black and White, the pendulum swung and Leicester scored three successive tries between the 36th and 64th minute. George Ford was brilliant from the tee, converting all three tries and adding 15 points from 5 penalties.
